DeCesare, as a composer, is an autodidact. He has over 1200 compositions in his catalog which include religious songs, a Requiem Mass, orchestral pieces, and musicals. He has enjoyed national and international success with many of his compositions such as the "Our Lady of Fatima" and "A Christmas Carol" musicals, which after they had appeared in Providence R.I. have had many performances in theatres across the U.S.A and Europe.
In 2011, Stephen musically directed and premiered his "Mass of Divine Mercy" at the beatification of Pope John Paul II which aired live on EWTN at the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA
